Louisville Slugger Museum & Tour of the Peerless DistilleryThe Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory is the place where all of the iconic Louisville Slugger bats are manufactured. The museum tour introduces visitors to the entirety of the process from wood selection to branding/painting. Visitors have an opportunity to hold replicas of the bats tailor made to some of the most recognizable names in all of baseball. The tour itself lasts about 30-minutes, but the museums exhibits (Bat Vault, profiles of the Major Leagues, Negro League, and women's league (All-American Girls Professional Baseball League), and artifacts can be viewed over the course of additional 60-90 minutes. The Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company (DSP-KY-50) is one of the earliest established distilleries that remains within the founding family. One of few distilleries to operate as a certified kosher facility, the enterprise remains a relatively small family business focused on the craft of distilling. The distillery tour guides visitors through the history of the distillery and through the entire process of bourbon making, barrelling, and bottling. At the conclusion of the tour, visitors are provided the opportunity to taste spirited or non-spirited drinks to teach their palate what to look for in bourbon. Details:

Kentucky Derby Museum and Mint Julep UniversityOverview A tour of both the Kentucky Derby Museum and Churchill Downs. The Kentucky Derby Museum highlights the race and the culture surrounding Derby weekend. For those who have been vaguely aware of the Derby a whole new understanding of the experience for jockeys, grooms, owners, and fans will be provided. A walking tour of the grounds with stops at the grandstand and winner's circle provides a surprisingly moving experience with the knowledge that the race has been run for more than 150 years. After the tours, a guided experience on making the quintessential Derby drink, the mint julep, is provided. Both spirited and non-spirited options are available. Details:
